Pilgrimage to Covadonga & Oviedo

The Heart of Spain's Spiritual Heritage

Join us on a pilgrimage through northern Spain, where history, faith, and natural beauty converge in the sacred sites of Covadonga and Oviedo.

Our journey begins at the Sanctuary of Covadonga, nestled in the majestic Picos de Europa mountains, a place of profound historical significance. It was here, in 722 AD, that the Christian forces, led by King Pelayo, won a decisive victory against the Moors, marking the start of the Reconquista. At the Sanctuary, we’ll visit the cave where the revered statue of Our Lady of Covadonga is enshrined, seeking the Virgin’s intercession and reflecting on her role as a symbol of hope and protection.

We then travel to the historic city of Oviedo, where we’ll visit the Cathedral of San Salvador, a site rich in Christian tradition and home to the Holy Chamber, which houses important relics of the early Church. Oviedo is also famous for its medieval architecture, and we’ll have the chance to explore its spiritual and cultural treasures.
